A long-term relationship

We look for landlords we can work with for years, not months.

What is rent to rent?

Rent to rent is where a company rents a property from its owner, then lets it to occupiers and manages it day to day. In return, the owner receives an agreed fixed rent. In a typical arrangement:

  • The owner grants a lease or commercial agreement to the rent to rent company
  • The company lets the property, or rooms within it, to occupiers
  • The company collects rent from the occupiers and manages the property
  • The owner receives the agreed fixed rent

It looks simple on paper, but it creates a chain of legal relationships that need careful management. The rent to rent company is often more than an agent: it may also take on legal duties as the occupiers' landlord. That's why we set everything out in a clear written agreement before we start.

The Renters' Rights Act changes key parts of the legal framework for renting in England. If you're considering rent to rent or a fixed rent arrangement, the agreement, compliance processes and property standards should all reflect the new rules.

Properties we consider

Every requirement is different, so we consider a range of property types, sizes and locations across Bristol, Somerset, Gloucestershire and South West England, from single rooms and flats to HMOs and whole houses.
